Fundamentals of Laboratory Practice (1 day)

A hands-on course providing a strong foundation in essential lab skills, including core techniques, equipment use, safety and quality processes.

By the end of the course, participants will not only understand how to perform key tasks but also how laboratories ensure results are accurate, reliable and quality-assured through the use of controls and testing strategies.

Employment-Ready Advanced Laboratory Skills (1-2 days)

These discipline-specific courses are designed to support graduates and early-career professionals in transitioning into laboratory-based roles.


Training is available in four key disciplines:

  • Forensic Biology
  • Molecular Biology
  • Microbiology
  • Analytical Chemistry

Each course focuses on developing practical, job ready skills within that particular discipline.

By the end of the course, participants will have gained practical experience, have increased confidence in a professional lab environment and the technical skills needed to transition into industry roles.
