Any organisation in England with a PAYE scheme
Apprentice must spend 50%+ of working hours in England
Must be employed (not self-employed/contractor)
Most apprenticeships last 12–30 months
Pay for all work and training time
Year 1: you may use the apprenticeship rate (not recommended though!)
After Year 1 (19+): pay at least age-related National Minimum Wage
Set hours published for each standard (must be delivered in paid time)
Includes: classes, workshops, mentoring, projects, assignments
Excludes: induction, progress reviews, English & maths (standalone)
Levy payers: use levy funds
Non-levy: pay 5%, government pays 95%
Waiver = 100% funding if apprentice is: 16–21 years old, or 22–24 years old with EHCP / care experience
£1,000 payment for employers of: 16–18 year olds
19–24 year olds with EHCP / care experience
£3,000 care leaver bursary (goes directly to the apprentice)
Provide job & contract (PAYE)
