Over the last 20 years, we have seen 740 teams participate in the NPL Water Rocket Challenge – raising over £20,000 for their chosen charity, the Shooting Star Chase children’s hospice. For the first time, NPL Water Rockets are running the ‘Apprentice Challenge’. Teams of up to 6 one member must be an apprentice (more can come to spectate/cheer on) arrive at the field from 16:30 to start at 17:00 and have 90 minutes to open a box and follow enclosed instructions to create and prepare for the main challenge. No other equipment or prior preparation is required. Teams will compete in the main challenge against others and there will be an Award for the best achiever in this group.
